It Barack Obama dumb? Ignorant? Deceived? Naive? Or just too liberal to be understood?  No, no, no, no, and maybe. I refuse to believe that the president is any of the above when it comes to Israel. While many attempt to explain away Obama’s increasingly anti-Israel positioning as simply naivety, I believe it is at the root of his ethic. He is anti-Israeli by upbringing, from his two-year education in a Wahabist (Usama bin Laden was a wahabist) school, to his twenty year history with the anti-semitic-liberation-theologian, Jeremiah Wright, Obama is living out his system of beliefs. The problem is, he is dead wrong, and leading America in becoming just plain dead.

Benjamin Netanyahu, on the other hand, is well aware of the danger posed by a nuclear Iran. He has no trouble believing the Imams of the Iranian Revolution when they say their first targets after acquiring nuclear weapons will be Israel and the United States. While Obama stupidly sits on his sanctions, Israel is beginning to understand that it will have to be the defender of not only itself, but Big Brother!  How sad is that?

According to the Jerusalem Post, Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony at Yad Vashem today saying that the Iranian regime was working in plain sight to destroy the people of Israel.

Netanyahu stated that the Iranian regime was working to obtain nuclear weapons in order to carry out this goal, and that while it was the whole world’s obligation to stop this, the responsibility falls first and foremost on Israel.

 The prime minister rejected those who do not want him to speak of the Iranian threat as an existential threat, saying that Israel’s leaders had always been honest about the threats facing the state, citing David Ben-Gurion as an example. “I believe in the power of the people of Israel to deal with the truth,” he stated.

Don’t be fooled. Obama gets it, he just doesn’t want to defend Israel. Worse, I am beginning to think he may welcome an attack on the United States, especially if it occurs before the 2012 elections. What better way to stay in power!

In fact, Israel was Egypt’s “number one enemy.” And how did Barack Obama respond to this egregious trampling upon the agreement that has kept an uneasy peace between Israel and Egypt for thirty years? By announcing a resumption of military aid to Egypt.

Is it any wonder that Benjamin Netanyahu has stated repeatedly over the last three weeks that “Israel must be the sole defender of its own existence?”  Where most Americans the quintessential ”pavlovian dogs” when it comes to swallowing everything the liberal media spews, Netanyahu has looked into the eyes of the president and has seen the truth.

ISRAEL IS ALONE!  This is true at least when it comes to the community of nations. Israel is not alone. Although much of the “Christian” world has bought into the Palestinian lie, there remain hundreds of thousands of believers who understand the covenant promises of scripture. Israel is not alone. An open reading of Old Testament prophecies should be enough to persuade anyone with an ear to hear that God will not default on his promise to “bring my people Israel back to the land” or his covenant to “do more good to them than ever before.”

My hope is that American Christendom will be refined to a true, Bible-believing, Bible-living community that understands the times.

JERUSALEM – For more than a decade, Israel has systematically built up its military specifically for a possible strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. It has sent its air force on long-distance training missions, procured American-made “bunker-busting” bombs and bolstered its missile defenses.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threats to strike Iran, voiced last week during a high-profile visit to the White House, were not empty bluster. Although a unilateral Israeli attack would probably not destroy Iran’s nuclear program, it appears capable, at least for now, of inflicting a serious blow.

“If Israel attacks, the intention is more to send a message of determination, a political message instead of a tactical move,” said Yiftah Shapir, a former Israeli air force officer who is now a military analyst at the INSS think tank in Tel Aviv.

Israel, along with the United States and other Western countries, believes Iran has taken key steps toward developing nuclear weapons. The U.N.’s nuclear watchdog agency has cited this concern in reports, but notes its inspectors have found no direct evidence that Iran is moving toward an atomic weapon.

Israeli leaders, however, argue that time is quickly running out. They have grown increasingly vocal in their calls for tough concerted international action against Iran while stressing they are prepared to act alone if necessary.

Israeli defense officials believe Iran is capable of producing highly enriched weapons-grade uranium within six months. After that, it would require another year or two to develop a means of delivering a nuclear bomb, they predict.

But Israel believes the window to act will close much sooner than that. Officials say in the coming months Iran will have moved enough of its nuclear facilities underground and out of reach of conventional airpower, and that the world will be powerless to stop it. Defense Minister Ehud Barak calls this the “zone of immunity.”

Defense officials acknowledge that plans to go after Iran have been in the works for years, with the air force expected to take the lead in what would be an extremely complicated operation. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were discussing sensitive military deliberations.

Israel has a total of 300 warplanes, but about 100 front-line planes would participate in the mission, officials suggest. They would include attack aircraft as well as others used to escort, target enemy warplanes and anti-aircraft batteries and provide support like communications and search and rescue.

The most powerful is the squadron of 24 F15i warplanes, American-made aircraft capable of carrying heavy payloads that could include 5,000-pound, laser-guided GBU-28 bombs purchased from the U.S. These “bunker-busting” bombs would be at the heart of any operation.

In addition, Israel has four squadrons, or about 100, F-16i warplanes. These planes are more nimble in the air, capable of attacking ground targets but also ideal for escorting the heavier attacking aircraft. The air force also has developed long-range unmanned drones that can provide intelligence, communications and other support in any mission.

Experts believe that some of the Israeli warplanes, even F16s with upgraded fuel tanks, could not make the round trip without refueling in flight — depending on the route as well as the weight of their payload. Israel, which has eight tanker planes, can refuel an airplane in flight in a matter of minutes, though it’s unclear where the task would take place since much of the airspace in the region is hostile.

There is precedent: Israeli warplanes destroyed an unfinished Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981, and did the same thing to a nascent reactor in Syria in 2007. But an operation in Iran would be far more difficult — complicated by distance, stronger Iranian defenses and the Iranian strategy of scattering its nuclear installations in underground locations.

The Israeli air force has carried out a series of long-distance training runs that could serve as models for striking Iran. In 2008, 100 jets participated in a drill in Greece. The air force has carried out similar drills more recently with both Greece and Italy, officials say.

Probable targets in Iran, including the Natanz and Fordo enrichment facilities south of Tehran, lie some 1,000 miles from Israel.

Shafir, the former air force officer, said planners would need to choose among three likely flight paths, all of which carry grave risks.

The shortest, most direct flight would be to cross over neighboring Jordan and through Iraq.
Neither country has the capability to stop an Israeli warplanes from crossing through its airspace. But this would deeply embarrass them. Such an operation would raise the likelihood of a diplomatic spat with Jordan, Israel’s closest ally in the Arab world, and potentially open it to Iranian retaliation. Jordanian officials refused to comment on how the government would react if Israel uses its airspace.

A second route would be to fly south and through Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have no relations with Israel, and while they feel deeply threatened by a nuclear Iran, any signs of cooperation with the Jewish state would unleash fierce criticism throughout the Arab world. The Saudis would also be an easy target for an Iranian counter-strike.

The last possibility would be crossing through Turkey, as Israel illicitly did in the 2007 airstrike in Syria. But Turkey is believed to have upgraded its radar systems since then, and Israel’s relations with Turkey, once a close ally, have deteriorated. A Turkish official said it was “out of the question” for Israel to use Turkish airspace. He said the jets would be “brought down” if Israel attempted to use the airspace without permission. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment publicly on the matter.

Once Israeli planes reach Iran, they would come under fire from Iranian air-defense systems and warplanes. Israeli officials say they take these threats seriously, but believe Israel’s superior firepower and radar-jamming technology would allow them to perform the mission.

Iran’s air attack capabilities depend heavily on domestically modified versions of long-outdated warplanes, including former Soviet MiGs and American F14A Tomcats from the 1970s. Iran is also believed to possess retooled versions of Russia’s state-of-the-art S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, as well as advanced Chinese radar systems. Russia has held up an official sale of S-300 defenses for five years, citing technical glitches.

Outside experts say Iranian capabilities, particularly homegrown technologies, are limited.

The biggest challenge to Israel may be the limits of its firepower. Iran’s main uranium-enrichment facility at Natanz is believed to be about 25 feet underground and protected by two concrete walls. This would stretch the capabilities of Israel’s arsenal of bunker busters and explains why the Israelis would much prefer that the U.S. take the lead in an operation. The U.S. has forces near Iran in the Gulf and possesses bunker busters even more powerful than Israel’s.

Iran has also been shifting its enrichment operations to the far more fortified Fordo site, dug 300 feet into a mountain south of Tehran. Further complicating the task, Israeli officials say Iran uses special Russian-made nets that conceal the facilities and distort the detection of Western spycraft. Iran has threatened to retaliate and has developed sophisticated Shahab missiles capable of striking the Jewish state. It also could encourage its local proxies, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, to unleash their arsenals of tens of thousands of rockets.

Hezbollah has not said what it would do, while Hamas has signaled it does not want to get dragged into an Israel-Iran war.

Nonetheless, Israel has developed a series of air-defense systems for the various threats. It has begun testing the third generation of its Arrow system, designed to shoot down incoming missiles from more distant origins like Iran. It also has deployed its “Iron Dome” rocket defense system, which has successfully shot down about 90 percent of incoming rockets from Gaza in a new round of fighting in recent days.

Many experts believe Iran would retaliate against American targets in the Gulf, as well as U.S. allies like Saudi Arabia for their perceived support of an Israeli strike.

Any unilateral strike would likely also draw fierce international criticism. That means an Israeli operation would have to be short-lived, perhaps a one-time attack, and not a sustained air campaign. Scott Johnson, an analyst at the IHF Jane’s military research firm, said that given these limitations, Israel would at best set back, but not neutralize, the Iranian program. Success, he added, would depend on the effectiveness of the bunker busters.

Danny Yatom, a former director of Israel’s Mossad spy agency, said even if Israel cannot destroy Iran’s nuclear program altogether, a serious disruption would be enough. “This might delay the appearance of the bomb by many years,” he said.

The vital question concerning any possibility of continued prosperity and influence for the United States remains: Will we aid, or hinder Israel as it defends its existence against those who desire to erradicate the Jews? It is that simple!

Netanyahu is savvy!  During his speeches to AIPAC and Congress, the Israeli Prime Minister praised Obama as he quoted the President’s very words. He left the great Wriggler-in-Chief with no wiggle room whatsoever. And then he went further by pulling out correspondence to the US War Department during WWII pleading for America to bomb Auschwitz. The response was disheartening, stating the resources were scarce, and a strike might actually make the Germans more apt to commit more horrors.

Low and behold, the President realized he’d caught himself in his own rhetorical trap. Thinking to re-capture the American Jewish vote in the upcoming 2012 elections, Obama said exactly what he knew they wanted to hear. But when Netanyahu firmly reiterated his words in public while taking an obvious stance of a Prime Minister poised to go to war, Obama balked.

“This is not just an issue of Israeli interests. This  is an issue of American interests,” he said at a last-minute press conference,  stating that a decision on action was not necessary within the next weeks, or  even months. “It’s also not just an issue of consequences for Israel if action  is taken prematurely. There are consequences for the United States as  well.” He warned against the “casualness” of talk of possible military action  and American politicians’ “beating the drums of war,” saying those who speak so  loosely should consider the consequences of their words.

This is called a Modified Stationary Panic (coined by writer Patrick McManus) and is in full use by the President. What does it mean? It means he is backpedaling as quickly as he can whilst attempting to not be back-peddling. There is another term….. BUSTED!

I thought it interesting that Netanyahu used the Feast of Purim as a picture of Persian (Iranian) aggression toward Israel. Queen Esther saved the Jews from annihilation in the 5th century B.C. Iran is again speaking in terms of annihilating the Jews, but this time by building nuclear weapons.

PURIM begins today (the 8th in Israel) and goes through the 9th of March.  Is Netanyahu using Purim as more than a reference?  I suppose we will know in a couple of days!

Obama is right in one aspect; If Israel strikes Iran, a firestorm will ensue. Iran will not be involved per se. It will use its proxies: Hezbollah, Hamas, and every radical Islamist available on the outskirts of Israel to attack the Jews and push them into the sea. I believe this will be the beginning of the Inner Ring War, and the prelude to the Great Showdown between Jehovah and Gog of Magog.  (See Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 12, Ezekiel 25, Zechariah 8-9, and Ezekiel 38 and 39))

I’m also praying that America will step up and help defend Israel….for their sake, and for ours.

Speaking of his policy to permanently deal with Iran rather than go the temporary route of military strikes, Obama attempted to portray himself as absolutely pro-Israeli.

US President Barack Obama intends to tell Prime Minister Binyamin  Netanyahu in their upcoming meeting that he wants to solve the Iranian  nuclear problem “permanently, as opposed to temporarily.”

In an interview with The Atlantic released on Friday, Obama said, “Our argument is going to be that it is  important for us to see if we can solve this thing permanently, as  opposed to temporarily.”

He continued, “The only way historically that a country has ultimately decided not to get nuclear weapons  without constant military intervention has been when they themselves  take [nuclear weapons] off the table. That’s what happened in Libya,  that’s what happened in South Africa.”

According to The Atlantic, Obama was concerned that a premature Israeli strike on Iran would make the regime less isolated.

“At a time when there is not a lot of sympathy for Iran and its only real  ally [Syria,] is on the ropes, do we want a distraction in which  suddenly Iran can portray itself as a victim?” the US president  rhetorically asked.

Trying to shore up the US commitment to  prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, Obama said, “I think that  the Israeli government recognizes that, as president of the United  States, I don’t bluff.”

“Both the Iranian and the Israeli  governments recognize that when the United States says it is  unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, we mean what we say,” he continued.

Netanyahu and Obama are scheduled to meet during the prime minister’s visit to Washington this week for the annual American  Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference.

When it comes to supporting Israel, Obama seemed to argue that  his actions – and not his sometimes-frosty relationship with Netanyahu – proved his commitment to the Jewish State and its security. 

“Every single commitment I have made to the state of Israel and its security, I have kept,” he told The Atlantic. “Why is it that despite me never failing to support Israel on every  single problem that they’ve had over the last three years, that there  are still questions about that?”

WHY ARE THERE STILL QUESTIONS?

1. Barack Obama instigated, and still backs the Arab Spring (Revolution) and the Muslim Brotherhood which is hell-bent on destroying Israel.
2. Barack Obama has, and continues to treat Israel’s democratically elected head of state with contempt.
3. Barack Obama refused to support the Iranian democracy movement when he had a chance.
4. Barack Obama refuses to consign the term “radical” to Iran’s leadership when they are obviously “radical” in their mission to destroy Israel and the United States.
5. Barack Obama refuses to acknowledge Israel’s right to occupy and govern its own ancestral land in favor of giving an invented people (the Palestinians) the largest portion of Israel.
6. Barack Obama’s actions have proven that his stated support of Israel is all “BLUFF.”

All this is happening while Russia goes to the polls to elect Vladimir Putin back into the Presidency. A Czar is suddenly in the making, all while our leadership tries to cover tracks that show a disdain for true democracy both at home and abroad.
In other words, Gog (Ezekiel 38 and 39) is rising and we are simply blowing a helpful gust of hot air.

First, Russia is on a path that will soon lead it into judgment.  It is all but certain that Vladimir Putin will once again assume the most powerful position in the government when he is elected President of the Russian Republic in March. His most recent statements demonstrate that he is probably the key figure in the coming Ezekiel 38 & 39 war called “Gog and Magog.”  Putin has been very clear, stating that Russia will not allow any foreign intervention in its affairs. That includes its foreign affairs. Early this week Putin reiterated that any attack upon Iran, Russia’s strategic ally in the Middle East, would be considered an attack on Russia itself.

Yesterday, in a campaign rally, Putin challenged the throngs of people to stand up and resist foreign influence, likening the current outside pressure to the days of the Napoleonic wars when Russians rose up and defeated the little emperor. Only now, Putin’s words are meant to arouse Russian nationalism against the West. Saying that the honor of the motherland was at stake, Putin reminded the people that the defense of the homeland was “in the blood” of the Russian people. They need no one but themselves and the motherland.

These are the very sentiments of Ezekiel’s envisioned persona named Gog…a leader fully self-contained, without God, and ready to go to war. All he needs is a hook to be set in his mouth and he will attack.

Then,

Iran’s true intentions concerning their development of nuclear weapons again surfaced.

In what seems to belie Iran’s oft-repeated assertion that its nuclear program is designed for peaceful purposes, the wife of a nuclear scientist who was assassinated last month in Tehran said that the goal of her husband’s life’s work was the “annihilation of Israel,” the scientist’s wife told the Iranian Fars News Agency (FNA) on Tuesday. Based on comments made to the FNA by Fatemeh Bolouri Kashani, the report said her husband, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan “sought the annihilation of the Zionist regime wholeheartedly.” He also, “loved any resistance figure in his life who was willing to fight the Zionist regime and supported the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation,” Fars said.

 Roshan, 32, an official at Iran’s nuclear-enrichment facility in Natanz, was killed in an explosion after attackers attached a bomb to his car in Tehran. The scientist, a graduate of Tehran’s prestigious Sharif University of Technology, was a chemistry expert involved in building polymeric layers for gas separation, the use of various membranes to isolate gases. He was also a deputy-director of the Natanz uranium enrichment plant.

 In a blog post published Wednesday, Elliot Abrams, a senior fellow at the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations, wrote that Kashani’s “praise of her husband should help inform our debate over the nature and objectives of Iran’s nuclear program.” Abrams says, “The official U.S. position is that it is ‘unacceptable’ for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, and this is a reminder that should be our actual policy as well.”

 Abrams suggested that Roshan’s wife had not gotten the regime’s official talking points sheet, and thus she spoke the truth.

It is amazing how the truth finds a way to come to light. The fact is Iran, Russia, Turkey, Libya, and much of the horn of Africa are already allied. That alliance has been formed for certain purposes, one of which is the destruction of the State of Israel.

We still have no idea how distant the War of Gog and Magog is in the future, but we do know we are on a path toward its fulfillment.

What would happen if Israel, or Israel and the United States attack Iran’s nuclear facilities? I believe that is exactly what Iran desires. Should that event occur, we will see the nations surrounding Israel become the first wave of battle against the Jews. Prophetic scripture is, in my view, clear. Those nations will be destroyed (See Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 25, Jeremiah 12, Zephaniah 2, and Zechariah 9).  When that happens, Ezekiel 38 and 39 will be just around the corner.

In the meantime, we have work to do. Let’s get to it and bit about the Father’s business!

Obama’s war on Christianity materialized in a big way with his “directive” that religious organizations provide “contraceptive” services to their employees. This, of course, includes abortive medications and procedures that are against the doctrine and conscience of said religious services. The supposed compromise made by Obama was simply semantic in nature. Insurance companies must provide the “contraceptive” service free of charge. Who pays for the insurance? The religious organization…which will be assessed hefty fines if they refuse.

.  The Occupy Wall Street movement, OWS, is petering out after having squatted on public property for months. Vandalism, public defecation, rape, and squalor accompanied the movement that was backed by President Obama. Little was done by law enforcement to curb the disgusting and absolutely illegal behavior of OWS participants.  But, stunningly, a small group of people was arrested this week and taken to jail in Washington D.C. Their crime…..gathering in front of the White House in Layfeyette Square and praying for our nation. 

President Obama, in the midst of numerous and growing crises around the world, has decided that it is time to honor his campaign pledge of eliminating America’s nuclear arsenal. This week, Obama declared he would unilaterally reduce the number of nuclear warheads (including delivery systems) from the current number of approximately 1400 to less than 400.  This while Russian Chief of Staff, General Nikolai Makarove said on Wednesday that Russia would use nuclear weapons in response to any imminent threat to its national security, “We are certainly not planning to fight against the whole of NATO,” Makarov said in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio, “but if there is a threat to the integrity of the Russian Federation, we have the right to use nuclear weapons, and we will.”   Remember that Russia declared in January that any attack on Iran will be considered an attack against the Russian Federation!

Iran draws ever closer to developing nuclear weapons while the West sits on its hands. Sanctions will only work if a nation can be deterred in its direction. Iran’s political and religious leadership, which is one and the same, believes its mission is to launch an all-out war with Israel and America. Why? Radical, Shia theology is based on the belief that the Islamic messiah, the Twelfth Imam (Mahdi), will return during a cataclysmic event and subdue the world, Israel, and all infidels. He will then establish a worldwide caliphate and rule with severity. The Iranian radicals (not all of Iran is made up of radicals) are willing to sacrifice themselves and their country in order to initiate the Mahdi’s return. No amount of sanctions will force them to change their course. To them, it is persecution, and this they crave as a motivation to continue towards their apocalypse.

Barack Obama is doing all he can to dissuade Israel from striking the Iranian nuclear facilities. This includes leaking Israel’s plans to the media, dispatching his diplomatic corp to threaten and cajole Benjamin Netanyahu into submission, slowing military aide, and more.   Still, most of the public remains oblivious to certain realities. First, Barack Obama cannot be trusted to aide or protect our only democratic ally in the Middle East.  Second, two US Aircraft Carrier battle groups have sailed through the Straits of Hormuz (off the Iranian coast) in a show of force.  However, I believe the show of force is directed toward Israel.  Obama is either attempting to stall the Israeli’s, or to discourage them entirely. Remember, the bunch in the White House is the same group of left-wingers that declared, through former National Security Advisor Zbigneu Brezenski, that if Israel attacks Iran, the US should shoot down their planes. Has Obama positioned US warships in a way that threatens Israel?  If so, we are in BIG TROUBLE!

(I fully admit I am praying for Barack Obama in two ways: That he wake up to the course he has placed this nation upon, which is moving us toward a showdown against the covenants of God, and…that if he does not change, the Lord remove him from the White House.)

I DO NOT know when the Biblically prophetic events of the Psalm 83 or Ezekiel 38 &39 wars will begin. I DO NOT know how they will begin.

I DO KNOW they have moved off the distant horizon and are fast approaching.

These are the signs of the times!

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Inside Washington,” Krauthammer explained his  thought process.

“I think it’s fairly certain the Israelis are going to attack or you would  not have had this leak, deliberately coming this week from secretary of Defense  through David Ignatius of The [Washington] Post saying that he thinks there is a  high likelihood Israel is going to attack, and then he went ahead and specified  when. He said three months, April, May or June. And you don’t say that unless  there is obviously indications from the Israelis that they are going to do this  even if they get and they are getting a signal from the United States not to do  it.”

I find it interesting that Israel’s supposed “best friend” would openly broadcast the IDF’s intent to protect itself, and then give the probable dates of Israel’s attack on Iran. I find it very difficult to believe that Benjamin Netanyahu would let something of that magnitude be leaked to the Obama administration. I am convinced Netanyahu knows Obama would betray the confidence. Therefore, I can only surmise that Israel has other plans that they will hold close to the vest. We’ll see.

In the meantime, Iran is springboarding off of Obama’s big mouth.  The Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove “this corrupting material. It is a ‘jurisprudential justification” to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.”

The article, written by Alireza Forghani, a conservative analyst and a strategy specialist in Khamenei’s camp, now is being run on most state-owned conservative sites, including the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars News Agency, showing that the regime endorses this doctrine.

Because Israel is going to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran is justified in launching a pre-emptive, cataclysmic attack against the Jewish state, the doctrine argues.

Where is world outrage at such remarks?

While the positioning of Iran within the Ezekiel 38 and 39 coalition is clear, what remains unclear is the series of events that will lead to the Gog/Magog attack. Will Iran pre-emptively strike Israel? Will Iran’s puppets go into greater action? Will the US assist, or hinder Israel?

I am certain that any Israeli strike against Iran will start a cascade that will eventually end in Ezekiel’s prophesied war of Gog and Magog. That means we are in for a wild ride in the next few weeks and months. Hold on tight.
